The Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Huweij, held Thursday talks with the Turkish ambassador to Libya, Güven Begeç, discussing a number of economic issues of mutual interest.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the meeting comes as part of the preparations for the upcoming visit of the Turkish Minister of Trade to Libya, and aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

The discussion focused on ways to develop trade and investment relations between Libya and Turkey, support partnerships between the public and private sectors in both countries, and enhance cooperation in the fields of investment, trade exchange, and industry.

During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of continuing efforts to activate the agreements signed between Libya and Turkey, and of opening new horizons for cooperation across various economic, commercial, and investment sectors in a way that serves mutual interests and strengthens bilateral relations.
