A Libyan delegation of 79 businesspersons, tourism experts, Shura and Elders' Council members arrived Wednesday in Tunisia in a bid to help the country's struggling economy. 

The delegation met Tunisian tourism experts in Medenine to discuss possible ways of boosting and stepping the Tunisian tourism back up.

The coordinator of the Libyan delegation, Hussein Juan, told the state Tunisian radio station that the delegation intends to push the Tunisian tourism to thrive once again, saying that they will visit Sfax, Sousse, Tunis to further emphasize the firm relations Libya has with Tunisia.

On Tuesday, the Tunisian Minister of Transport, Mahmoud Bin Ramadan said his country will reopen its airspace to flights from Libya following years of suspension.

In June IS group attacked a beach in the Tunisian resort town of Sousse leaving many foreign tourist dead. The attack was a big blow to the Tunisian economy which mainly relies on tourism. Many western tourists have cancelled their trips to Tunisia where authorities are now working to attract Arab Maghreb tourists including Libyans to occupy the empty hotels.
