The second edition of the Made in Libya Exhibition will kick off in the Nigerien capital, Niamey, on six March 2023 and will run until 11 of the same month, the Libyan Industry Union announced on Tuesday,  in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hawij.

The Executive Director of the union, Ali Naseer, said they are looking forward to seeing many international organizations in the exhibition, including businesses specialized in the industrial and economic development fields.

The event will also feature the participation of the French Expertise Foundation, the European Union mission, and other international organizations.

"The exhibition's goal is to promote and introduce Libyan products and services in the Nigerien and African markets, " Naseer said.

He added that the event also opens a window for job seekers and allows direct communication between Libyan manufacturers and entrepreneurs in Niger and its neighboring countries.

For his part, Minister Al-Hwaij expressed his support for such events and vowed to work to facilitate procedures and establish a trade line between Misrata, Tamanhint, Ghat, and Niger.

The exhibition's goal is to promote a more diversified economy by harnessing resources and creating a national industry at all levels, including in the agriculture, industry, and service fields, Al-Hawij told a press conference.
