The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Farhat Bengdara, discussed with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brega Oil Marketing Company, Fouad Belrahim, the mechanism for providing fuel to the local market.
The meeting, which was held on Tuesday, was attended by the member of the Board of Directors of the NOC, Masoud Suleiman, and the Director of the International Marketing Department, Rabie Araibi.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to the company's activity, especially the fuel supply process and schedules, in addition to the challenges facing Brega Company, according to a statement published on the NOC's Facebook page. It also touched on ongoing projects to increase fuel storage capacity and problems related to ports and unloading docks.
A series of measures were agreed upon to address these challenges with the aim of stabilizing the fuel supply process, including approving the establishment of new warehouses within the company's allocated budget, in order to achieve the highest rate of storage sufficiency and meet local needs.
Bengdara hailed the efforts of the NOC's Marketing Department and Brega Company officials to overcome difficulties and provide fuel in light of the crisis of closing oil fields and the shutdown of Al-Zawiya refinery.
