The National Oil Corporation (NOC) ended the force majeure declared in Ras Lanouf port starting from July 02. The port was shut together with Al-Sidra port back in December 2014 due to the breaking out of armed fights around them. Both ports are the major ones in eastern Libya.

The NOC’s spokesperson, Mohammed Al-Harari told the press that Al-Sidra port, which is the biggest oil-exporting port in Libya, is still closed because of security reasons waiting for the resumption of work as soon as the situation gets better.
