The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has signed an agreement with France's Total Energies to implement development projects worth $20 million.

On behalf of the NOC, the agreement was inked by its Chair Mustafa Sanalla, and on the other hand, Brent Pascal, the General Manager of Total, represented the French company in Tripoli.

According to the NOC, the sum will be used to develop areas of oil operations. "Total is a strategic partner of the corporation and has areas of operation throughout Libya," Sanalla said.

He emphasized that the NOC will utilize the sum "to conduct real development," expressing willingness to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.

For his part, Pascal expressed Total's gratitude to assist Libya in meeting the Covid-19 demands, as well as supporting the WHO's work inside Libya.

He said Total is looking forward to building several sports facilities, including stadiums and a chain of gyms.
