Minister of Oil and Gas in the Salvation Government Masah Allah Al-Zawai addressed on Wednesday the 8th International Energy Conference held in the Turkish capital Ankara during the period from 4-6 of November.

Al-Zawai dealt in his speech with the historical relations between Libya and Turkey, stressing the importance of their development in the various fields, particularly in the field of energy, inviting the participating countries in the conference to invest in Libya.

On the sidelines of the conference, Minister Al-Zawai held business talks with his Turkish counterpart Ali Rıza Alaboyun. Both sides reviewed the bilateral relations, and ways and means of promoting cooperation in energy fields.

They also stressed the need to reactivate the committees formed to revive the agreement between the two countries in the field of oil industries.

During his visit to Turkey, Minister Al-Zawai also met with his counterpart from Somalia Mohamed Mokhtar Ibrahim where they discussed cooperation between the two countries in addition to the issue of illegal immigration, which constitutes a threat to the security of the two countries.
