Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has urged National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman Farhat Bengdara to continue implementing development plans aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the oil sector. The move is aimed at maximizing the use of natural resources and supporting Libya’s economic development, according to the government platform "Hakomitna."
During a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s office in Tripoli on Monday, Bengdara updated Dbeibah on the NOC’s progress in increasing oil production. He outlined current daily production levels and ongoing development projects, reiterating the target of raising output to 2 million barrels per day.
Libya's oil production has reached record levels, with current output at 1,374,118 barrels of crude oil and condensates, alongside 202,983 barrels of gas equivalent, totaling 1,577,101 barrels per day, according to Hakomitna.
Dbeibah expressed full support for the NOC’s efforts and praised the contributions of workers across the country’s oil facilities.
