A report published by the English edition of the Egyptian newspaper, Daily News Egypt, revealed an increase in the volume of Egypt's trade exchange with Arab countries, including Libya.

The report cited the Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics as confirming that the value of trade exchange between Egypt and the Arab countries increased to 14 billion and 400 million dollars in the first half of 2022 compared to 12 billion and 100 million dollars in the same period of 2021.

The report indicated that the volume of Egyptian exports to Arab countries amounted to 5 billion and 900 million dollars in the first half of 2022, compared to 5 billion and 400 million dollars in the same period of 2021, stressing that the value of what Libya imported amounted to 525 million dollars.

It also said that the volume of Egypt's imports from Libya in the same period of 2022 amounted to 51 million and 500.000 dollars, indicating that Libyan investments in Egypt during the same time period amounted to 12.5 million dollars.
