Minister of Economy and Trade, Muhammad Al-Hawij, has discussed with the Governor of the Tunisian Central Bank (BCT), Marwan Al-Abbasi, aspects of cooperation to support the banking sector on both sides.

The meeting also touched on the obstacles facing entrepreneurs and investors in the two countries and ways to facilitate financial procedures for the benefit of companies, as well as local and foreign investors.

Al-Hawij emphasized the importance of supporting the private sector and creating direct channels of communication to enhance cooperation in the fields of economy and investment.

He called for providing an appropriate work environment for a long-term partnership that contributes to supporting and diversifying the national economy.

The two parties also explored the possibility of issuing cards for Libyan businessmen that grants them special features, as well as ways to protect Libyan assets in Tunisia and conduct fair reconciliations for the funds seized from Libyans.
