The Head of the Libyan Audit Bureau, Khalid Shakshak, and the Chairman of the Economic Council, Mahmoud Al-Futaisi, have reiterated in a meeting in Tripoli the importance of developing strategic plans to preserve oil wealth for future generations, stressing the need to develop the oil and electricity sectors as well as strengthen national economy.
The two sides discussed on Tuesday the Economic Council's vision regarding the national strategic plan for the oil and electricity sectors, with the aim of providing continuous “modern energy” to Libyans with affordable prices.
The period for the strategic plan for oil and electricity sectors' development will be from 2023 to 2035 to ensure the sustainability of the energy sector in Libya and maintain its position in global energy markets.
The meeting participants called for the commitment of all state institutions to develop strategic plans to increase their efficiency and provide their services at the best level.
