A delegation from the Turkish-Libyan Business Council, part of Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board, visited Benghazi for high-level talks aimed at boosting investment ties between the two nations.
Led by Chairman Murtaza Karanfil, the delegation met with several officials, including Ali Al-Saidi, Minister of Investment of the east-based parallel government, Benghazi Mayor Saqr Boujwari, and Momen Al-Saidi, Chairman of the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce.
The discussions focused on removing barriers to current projects and expanding mutual investment opportunities.
Facilitated by Turkey’s Ambassador to Libya and its Commercial Advisor, the visit underscores Turkey’s efforts to deepen economic cooperation with Libya, particularly in sectors vital to Libya’s recovery, the Anadolu Agency reported, citing the Turkish-Libyan Business Council.
Karanfil also welcomed the recent opening of the Turkish Consulate in Benghazi, calling it a strategic step in reinforcing Turkey’s influence and expanding trade in the region.
