The Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Huweij, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Libya, Güven Begeç, to arrange a visit by the Turkish Minister of Trade to Libya, accompanied by a delegation of business representatives, during this February.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the meeting aimed to discuss strengthening economic and trade cooperation within the framework of long-term relations and partnership. It also included setting up a mechanism for the return of major Turkish companies to resume their operations in Libya.

The Minister of Economy and Trade reaffirmed the Government of National Unity’s desire to enhance trade and economic cooperation with Turkey. He also expressed the ministry’s readiness to provide all possible facilities under the Investment Law for companies and business owners interested in entering the Libyan market.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Ambassador to Libya expressed his country’s interest in developing trade and investment relations between the two nations and working in accordance with agreements signed in various fields.
