The Education Facilities Authority has announced starting a servicing and repairing campaign at the damaged schools in Awiniya town - Al-Meshashiya - after the needed architecture planning is done.

This comes after a visit paid Monday to the town by the UN-proposed government's Education Minister, Othman Abdeljalil, who, along with a number of education officials, saw for themselves the tremendous damage done to the schools, promising to fix the issue to get the educational process going.

They all stressed that with the availability of financial support, the servicing works at the schools of Awiniya, Zawiyat Al-Bagul, and Awmer in Nafousa Mountain, will be conducted soon.

11 schools were all damaged in Awiniya town due to the clashes that took place in recent years in the area.

After six years of being displaced out of their town over tensions with neighbors, like Zintan city, the families, who people Awiniya, returned.

Both Meshashiya and Zintan elders signed an agreement for reconciliation last week in Gharyan in the presence of elders and notables from different Libyan cities and the Local Governing Minister. The agreement allows the displaced to return peacefully without assaults and other misconducts to be directed at them.
