The Students' Union of the Engineering Faculty in Misrata University has put in use the " Smart Card" project, which is a first regarding Libyan educational institutions.

About 1300 students in the faculty,together with the faculty's teaching staff will be given access by this smart card, which carries all personal information of its owners, to various percentages of discounts in more than 27 shops and organizations in Misrata including hospitals and restaurants.
