Minister of Health Ali Al-Zanati held a meeting on Monday with the Egyptian Ambassador to Libya, Mohamed Tharwat, to discuss several files linked to the health memoranda and agreements of understanding signed between the two countries.
Facilitating patient entry visas for Libyans was the focus of talks between the Health Minister and the Egyptian official, said a statement by the Health Ministry.
The meeting touched upon other files, including cooperation in primary health care and recruiting Egyptian medical and auxiliary personnel.
Minister Al-Zanati discussed the possibility of handing over some hospitals to Egyptian companies specialized in managing and operating hospitals.
The two sides also reviewed proposals for training national personnel, especially drug inspection, drug vigilance, drug manufacturing, economic pharmacist, and clinical pharmacy.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador welcomed the activation of agreements between the two countries, stressing their full readiness to cooperate in all fields.
