The media bureau of Benghazi medical center has warned of a humanitarian disaster that it said is going to threaten the whole center and the surgery sections within the center if the lack of medicines and necessary medical equipment continues any longer.

On Facebook, the media bureau said the medicines that arrive in the center from the donations of citizens and other public bodies cannot cover the center’s inadequacy, which is existent in all of the sections.

“The lack that the center is suffering, which includes more than 100 medicines and 60 different types of medical equipment, has led to calling off a number of surgeries.” The media bureau explained.

The media bureau also called on health organizations, on top of all the World Health Organization and the Red Cross, to help Benghazi medical center, calling for leaving the humanitarian and medical works out of the current war in the city.
