The Libyan Organization for Peace, Care and Relief (LOPCR) warned in a letter to the Humanitarian Coordinator of the UNSMIL, Ali Al-Za'tari, of the seriousness of the acute shortages of medicines and medical equipment the Libyan hospitals are suffering from.

The LOPCR described the situation in the Libyan hospital as “catastrophic” amid the current lack of medicines for the chronic diseases and nerve disorders, let alone that the run-down diagnosis apparatuses and medical analysis equipment at the hospitals and healthcare centers.

The LOPCR has also called on the international organizations to speed up their assistance to the Libyan healthcare sector by providing the needed medical supplies and medicaments.
