The High Commission for Fighting Coronavirus (COVID-19 Task Force) has recommended urging the Libyan Presidential Council to adopt a system of fines, among other measures, against anyone violating the curfew hours in the country.

The remarks came in a meeting on Monday, when many issues about the pandemic were raised, including a digital platform for the National Center for Disease Control, and the growing number of COVID-19 cases.

The deputy minister of interior Khalid Mazin said at the meeting that th3 security measures should be implemented to make sure the country contains the spread of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the head of consultation board of the committee Khalifa Al-Bakoush said days ago that Libya's Coronavirus situation had become very concerning as cases got increased over the last days.

Many western region municipalities announced Monday stricter measures to limit the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
