The Tripoli University Hospital has mourned Dr. Muhammad Miftah Ibrahim, a surgical consultant who succumbed to COVID-19 related complications.

Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim was serving on the COVID-19 front lines when he contracted the disease and died just after a short time.

The hospital management mourned him as an accomplished doctor who enjoyed the love and respect of all colleagues and patients throughout his course of work in the surgical department.

The Ministry of Health mourned scores of doctors who sacrificed their lives while saving patients during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, while many were providing care with insufficient protection due to shortages of PPEs.

Libya has recorded 1,264 new coronavirus cases, Sunday, raising the total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak in Libya to 151,605.
