The Ministry of Health of the Presidential Council (PC) announced that it is preparing to launch a vaccination campaign in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF, which aims to target 1,226,965 children in Libya, including those in immigrant shelters.

The Information Office of the Ministry of Health said that 90 supervisors from different cities and regions of Libya are ready to conduct the vaccination campaign against measles, rubella and poliomyelitis, during the second week of November, noting that the children targeted are between the ages of 6 months to15 years.

"45 vaccinators were trained during the period 15-20 October in coordination between the Department of Vaccination of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), WHO, and UNICEF, while the 45 others will undergo a training to improve their capacity in supervision and provide them with the necessary expertise for planning, " the ministry said.
