The Tunisian Bureau for Crossing Borders has confirmed that traffic movement between Tunisia and Libya via Ras Ajdir crossing point is running smoothly since the countries agreed recently to open borders to travelers as well as trucks carrying goods.

Around 9910 travelers entered Tunisia in the period between 14-24 November, while 8901 travelers left for Libya, according to a report by the Tunisian Bureau.

It detailed that 3305 small vehicles entered Tunisia, and 2641 others departed, while over 1,300 trucks crossed the borders on both sides in the same period.

It is noteworthy that the Tunisian Prime Minister, Hichem Mechichi said in a statement a few days ago that land border with Libya and Algeria will remain open, whatever the circumstances, considering that these countries share the same fate.
