A visiting medical team has performed 15 open-heart surgeries on children in Benghazi Medical Center.
Al-Attafi Metwally, consultant pediatric cardiac surgeon and head of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Tanta University, said: “We are trying to perform the largest number of operations during two weeks, as we have performed 15 surgeries”.
Metwally confirmed that they will continue to receive cases that will come from outpatient clinics to the medical center.
