The Tripoli Security Directorate said it recorded 36 casualties due to traffic accidents in the city of Tripoli during April.
The statistics of the Traffic Department in the city show that around 8 people have died, while 28 others were wounded, some were seriously injured, in addition to the material damage, which amounted to LYD 130.000 dinars
The Directorate attributed the causes of accidents to the high speed of motorists and lack of respect for traffic law, including driving on pavements and pedestrian walkways.
In March, the Directorate recorded 33 casualties of traffic accidents, 15 of them were dead, in addition to material damage amounting to LYD 91.000 dinars.
