The Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Libya, Marc-André Franche, has confirmed the return of 45% of the people of Tawergha city to their home during the past three years, after the signing of the reconciliation agreement.

Franche said in a tweet that he met with the mayor and members of the municipality council in Tawergha, along with the Ministry of Planning, to assess the progress of the reconciliation agreement and the return of the displaced.

He also indicated that the UNDP has invested more than two million dollars in the city to improve basic services and start small businesses, adding that the final stage of the Stabilization Facility is now under way  to provide water for 500 families, using one of the eight springs located around Tawergha.
