Members of the Joint Military Committee (5+5) are to meet for the fifth round in Sirte, on Sunday, in the presence of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

The main topic on the committee's agenda will be following up on the outcomes related to the mechanism for implementing the permanent ceasefire signed in Geneva last October.

Other issues will be on the table, including the work reports of the security and police subcommittees, besides clearance of land mines and war remnants, in preparation for opening the coastal road between the cities of Sirte and Misrata, as well as the withdrawal of foreign mercenaries from Libyan territory.
