The head of the General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons, Kamal Al-Siwi, has confirmed that they have completed 98% of the DNA sample files of the families of the victims of the Derna disaster.
Al-Siwi added that the authority worked on the entire file of Derna’s bodies, amounting to 3,754 bodies, by taking DNA samples, preparing a forensic report, and reburying the bodies.
According to the head of the authority, the number of files for samples of missing persons reached 3,028 files, and about 1,200 DNA samples from the families of the victims were analysed.
