The Administrative Control Authority has suspended the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Adel Jumaa pending investigation.
Despite the Authority’s decision, Jumaa attended an official meeting with the Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, during his reception of the German ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, in addition to another meeting devoted to discussing the oil sector budget.
In conjunction with Resolution No. 13 of 2023, the authority said that the non-implementation of such decisions leads to the imprisonment for up to 10 years.
Earlier, the Attorney General issued a decision to arrest and interrogate Adel Jumaa, while he held the position of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in the Government of National Accord, on charges of corruption, before he was later acquitted and reinstated.
