Congo-Brazzaville Foreign Minister Jean-Claude Jacossou has announced an upcoming national reconciliation conference in Libya in mid-October, inviting Presidential Council member Musa al-Koni to attend the event.
This came during a meeting between the two parties on Saturday in Tripoli, as Jean-Claude Jacossault and his accompanying delegation are on a visit to Libya.
A statement published by the Presidential Council on Facebook stated that Al-Koni appreciated the efforts of the Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso and the African Union in support of the reconciliation and peace in Libya.
The statement quoted the Congolese minister as praising the efforts of the Presidential Council aimed at achieving stability, stressing the importance of the participation of the Presidential Council to contribute to the success of the upcoming conference.
