The Ambulance and Emergency Service confirmed on Tuesday the death of four African workers due to food poisoning.

The service said it received a call reporting four bodies belonging to Africans found in a garage on the coastal road along the Maya area some 30 km west of Tripoli.

A spokesman for the Emergency Service said the deceased persons were likely affected by spoiled food.

The victims were transferred to the morgue in Al-Zahra Hospital after coordination with the Maya Police Station, Criminal Investigation Center, and the Public Prosecution.
