The Libyan Afriqiyah Airways announced the initiation of the Misrata-Sabha airline flight adding that the flight operation comes following instructions of the Government of National Unity (GNU), with the intention of linking all Libyan cities and airports.

It emphasized the importance of transporting citizens throughout the country, stressing that it would do everything in its power to provide a service worthy of passengers, according to a statement on its Facebook page on Monday, June 21.

On Sunday, June 20, the company’s first flight arrived at Sfax International Airport in Tunisia, having had flights suspended for almost a year, noting that the first flight, listed on the summer schedule for 2021, took off from Misrata Airport to the Tunis-Carthage Airport.
