The Russian Ministry of Energy has disclosed that Russia and Libya plan to activate the Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation this year, after a gap of two decades.
According to the source, the committee will convene a meeting in Saint Petersburg next October.
The decision to activate the committee came after a meeting between Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov and Oil and Gas Minister Mohamed Aoun at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in the Qatari capital, Doha.
