The Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) has reported the successful completion of initial operational tests on the new Unit 2 generator, part of a project involving the supply and installation of two gas turbines at the Nafoura oil field.
According to AGOCO’s announcement, the test, directed by Management Committee Chairman Mohamed Bin Shatwan, lasted six hours using diesel fuel and yielded highly positive results.
The trial was attended by field supervisors, the concession area team (JPT), relevant coordinators, departments, and contractors Emi and Endecou.
Operational tests are set to continue until the commissioning and full operation phase, though the company has not yet disclosed the timeline for the launch.
