The Libyan Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) announced on Friday that its maintenance team had repaired the leak on the Sarir Tobruk oilfield pipeline, confirming the resumption of production.

On Tuesday, AGOCO announced the loss of 22,000 barrels of oil per day due to a leak at one of the Sarir Tobruk oilfield pipelines. The company attributed the problem to the failure to maintain oil transmission lines due to the delay in budgets.

In turn, the Ministry of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity said that “attributing all problems and challenges to the budget is unjustified", adding that the role of the National Oil Corporation is to develop a clear policy based on the audits of the past years and the lessons learned.
