The head of the General Union of Air Traffic Controllers, Fathi Al-Busaifi, has warned to take action and halt air navigation if the government continues to "ignore their legitimate demands."

He said the union is in constant contact with the government to solve the dispute with the authorities.

The union suspended the air service on Friday, May 12, due to financial problems, including those related to salaries and the failure to implement the common scale for air traffic staff.
