The Airports Authority is seeking cooperation from the US Coleman International Company to enhance procedures and measures of civil aviation security at Libyan airports.

The authority said in a post on Facebook that it met with Coleman representatives on Thursday in Tunis to discuss the airports' needs, in terms of devices, equipment, and security systems, in addition to determining the training needs of the human cadres, stressing that this would contribute to implementing the internationally stipulated security standards in Libyan airports.

The authority clarified that the meeting attended by the general directors of airports in Tripoli, Benina, Sabha, Misrata and Mitiga, is part of the US State Department's support program for Libya during this stage.
