Aisha Al-Gaddafi has called on the Libyans to work for the release of her brother Hannibal, who has been detained in Lebanon since 2015.
Aisha Al-Gaddafi sent a message through her Instagram account, asking those she called “the honorable sons of my country,” the jurists and the ancient tribes, not only to have a voice, but to act, to put an end to this injustice and disdain for the rights of your fellow countryman, as she put it.
Hannibal is serving his detention in Lebanon on charges of concealing information related to the disappearance of the founder of the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council, Imam Musa al-Sadr, during his visit to Libya, August 1978, at the invitation of Al-Gaddafi the senior.
