The Al-Asabaa Municipal Council honored the Support and Backup Team of the National Safety Authority during a ceremony held on Saturday at the municipality headquarters.
The ceremony marked the end of their duties in the city after their effective contribution to controlling recent fires.
The ceremony was attended by the mayor and the director of the Authority's branch in the Western Mountains, along with local officials, department heads, and civil society representatives.
In his speech, the mayor praised the team's efforts, which worked day and night to save lives and property, emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation between local and national teams.
Finally, the municipality presented appreciation shields to the team's head and members, with attendees praising their exceptional performance.
