The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Taher Al-Baour, arrived on Tuesday in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Al-Baour will attend the oath-taking ceremony of Iran’s newly-elected President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its Facebook page.

The ceremony began last Sunday, when Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei announced the inauguration of Masoud Pezeshkian as the new President of the Republic of Iran, after he won the early elections held following the death of former President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash.
