The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Taher Al-Baour, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, highlighted the importance of continuous cooperation and consultation on regional and international issues.
This came during a phone call on Wednesday morning, during which Al-Baour congratulated Fiqi on his country’s election of non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council during the period 2025-2027, according to the Foreign Ministry’s statement on its Facebook page.
The two sides renewed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation to achieve security, stability and development, and to enhance relations between the two countries.
