Taher Al-Baour in charge of running the affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has discussed in Tokyo with the Japanese Foreign Minister, Yoko Kamikawa, enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries.
He agreed with the Japanese Minister in meeting Friday to continue deepening cooperation, especially in the field of human resources development and training, while stressing the importance of developing bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of topics and issues at regional and international scene, most notably the Palestinian issue and UN Security Council reform.
Al-Baour is currently on a visit to Japan to participate in the "TIKAD" African-Japanese Conference.
