The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Taher Al-Baour, received a delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday at the ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli.
According to a statement posted on the Ministry’s Facebook page, the meeting focused on recent developments in Libyan-Egyptian bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields.
The ministry added that the discussions also covered a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly consular affairs, the conditions of the Libyan and Egyptian communities residing in both countries, and mechanisms to facilitate and improve consular services to ensure the best possible support for citizens.
