The Egyptian capital, Cairo, is hosting meetings of the Joint Military Commission (JMC) 5+5 , the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army,  Mohamed Al-Haddad, and Abdel Razek Al-Nadouri, the acting commander of Haftar’s forces.

The Cairo meetings, which will last for a week, will be discussed, the terms of the cease-fire agreement, the unification of the military institution, the dissolution of militias, the expulsion of mercenaries, and the avoidance of escalation and slipping into clashes, building on the previous meetings of Al-Haddad and Al-Nadouri, which were held in the city of Sirte, in December 2021 and January 2022.
