The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohammed Al-Hawij, has called on the British Embassy to resume its work from its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, to receive citizens' requests to obtain travel visas and encourage foreign companies to resume their work in Libya.

This came during his meeting with British Deputy Ambassador to Libya Catherine Wilde, where they discussed strengthen economic and trade relations, to provide the necessary facilities for companies and the movement of business owners in both countries.

Al-Hwaij stressed the importance of activating a long-term partnership with UK, working on preparing a memorandum of understanding on free trade that enhances the role of the private sector, implementing joint projects aimed at developing infrastructure in the health sector, and increasing the volume of investments and trade exchange.
