Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Ali Al-Hibri, has questioned what was reported by the Central Bank in Tripoli about the seizure of counterfeit banknotes (50 dinars) which was previously printed by the parallel bank in Russia.

Al-Hibri confirmed in a statement on Friday that the Libyan currency has high security specifications and it is difficult to counterfeit it, indicating that the purpose is to stir up public opinion against the currency printed in Russia.

On Thursday, the Central Bank of Libya in Tripoli announced the seizure of a counterfeit banknotes (50 dinars) signed by the deputy governor of the CBL, Ali Al-Hibri.
