Member of the Presidential Council (PC) Abdullah Al-Lafi on Sunday received the Tunisian Ambassador to Libya, Al-Asaad Al-Ajili, to review bilateral relations between the two nations.
The meeting also touched upon developments in the political scene in Libya, as well as regional issues of common interest, primarily the unfolding situation in Palestine and coordinating positions on this issue.
Al-Lafi emphasized the PC's desire to explore new potential avenues of cooperation between the two countries, particularly through the Libyan-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee.
For his part, the Tunisian ambassador affirmed his government's support for the PC-led peace efforts, including the national reconciliation project, which he deemed a prime factor for Libya's stability.
