Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush and her Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra have stressed the need to continue coordination and consultation on files of common interest and exchange support in regional and international forums.

This came during their meeting on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, during which they discussed the results of the consultative meeting chaired by Al-Manqoush regarding the foreign ministers of the Arab group participating in the United Nations session in New York.

The two ministers also touched on the ongoing preparations for holding the Arab Summit in its 31st regular session, to be held in Algeria, and the importance of the summit during the current stage.

The Algerian minister reiterated his country's support for Libya's presidency of the Arab Ministerial Council in its current session.
