The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khalid Al-Mishri, met on Tuesday with the Turkish ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, at the headquarters of the HCS, in the country’s capital, Tripoli.

During the meeting, both sides discussed several bilateral issues relevant to both parties, exchanging views on various regional matters, along with methods of enhancing cooperation between the two countries, in order to serve the interests of both the Libyan and Turkish peoples, according to a statement published by the media office of the HCS.

The statement further indicated that both sides reaffirmed their eagerness to push for holding the proposed elections on time for December 24 and the absolute necessity to remove any and all obstacles, which may prevent either their holding or even their integrity, suggesting punishment for anyone who may be guilty of obstruction.
