The President of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, has discussed with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, issues raised in the recent briefing of the UN Secretary-General's envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, to the UN Security Council.
The meeting, which took place on Monday, also dealt with developments of he Libyan situation, according to the tweet of the French ambassador.
In his briefing last Friday's session, Bathily called for exerting pressure on the political leaders in Libya to expedite the preparation of a constitutional rule.
He also pointed out the possibility of resorting to alternative solutions in the event that the heads of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State cannot reach a consensus on this file.
