The member of the High Council of State (HCS) Abdulkader Al-Huwaili, said the Head of the HCS Khalid Al-Mishri, postponed his visit to Cairo after he had received an official invitation via Egypt’s ambassador to Libya.

Al-Huwaili told reporters that the postponement of the visit aims to understand the Egyptian stance through a formal visit for the second HCS deputy Omar Bushah next week, adding that Egypt wants to send a message to the world that it’s neutral to all parties in Libya.

The Head of Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi visited Cairo on Tuesday and met with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. Before that, Khalifa Haftar and HoR Speaker, Aqila Saleh, as well as the HoR-appointed PM, Fathi Bashagha, also visited Cairo to discuss the political process in Libya and the entry of Bashagha's government to Tripoli to replace Abdul Hamid Dbiebah’s government, which has so far said it will only hand over power to an elected government.
